L.W. Perry’s brother was also extremely talented in the arts, playing piano and gymnastics. As both children grew in their interest it was sometimes extremely difficult financially but realizing that this activity kept their children focused, and out of trouble they would do whatever they needed to make sure that both achieved their goals and dreams and supported them any way that they could.
Both Lance and Sharon Washington are self-taught artists.
Sharon Washington enjoyed painting, singing, and playing the piano.
Lance Washington enjoyed dancing, painting, and cooking.
Both of these talented people worked two or more jobs to ensure that L.W. Perry and her brother were able to get an education in the performing arts and understood the value it played in their lives.
In dedication to her parents, Countess L.W. Perry created the foundation understanding the importance of the arts and also how therapeutic it can be.
